Come and celebrate Eid with the Muslim communities from across California at Muslim Unity Day at Great America Park on Saturday, September 17, 2011.
The idea of this event was first introduced by a local bay area Muslim who saw a need of having a day of fun at a local amusement park where everyone would put aside their differences and come together to have fun and get to know each other. Hence the first Muslim Unity Day (also known as MUD) was launched in summer of 2005, it was a huge success and over 3000 people from across California attended this event. Since then MUD has become an yearly event.
This year our evening entertainment program includes the well known Muslim comedian Ahmed Ahmed and the Muslim nasheed band Joshua Salaam and the Native Deen.
Halal food will be served by the well know restaurants.
Muslim Bazaar will be held in the Pavilion Area.
All prayers will be held in a hall inside the Pavilion area. The prayer schedule is:
Dhuhr - 1:30 PM
Asr - 5:30 PM
Maghrib - 7:15 PM
The evening Entertainment will start at 7:45 PM and will continue until 10 PM. This Entertainment will take place in the Amphitheater of Great America Park. The entertainment schedule is:
Nasheed by Joshua Salaam and the Native Deen Band: 7:45 PM - 8:45 PM
Comedy by Ahmed Ahmed: 9:00 PM - 10:00 PM
